Admissions

We maintain open enrollment and accept students on an ongoing basis.

Applicants must meet the following criteria for admission. All required documentation must be submitted to Admissions before the admission process is complete.

  • Submitted application with $25.00 application fee.
  • An official secondary school transcript or GED certificate.
  • Participate in an interview with the Admissions Department.
  • Pass the Criminal Offense Record Investigation (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) when admitted.
  • Complete Financial Aid within 72 hours of enrollment.

Practical Nursing Applicants must also:

  • Pass the TEAS nurse entrance test with a composite score of 55% or better.
  • Submit a health exam and provide proof of ability to lift 50 pounds alone or 100 pounds with another person.
  • Provide immunization records with titres drawn to show immunity; if not showing immunity, the candidate will require revaccination.
  • Show proof of health insurance.
  • Show proof of student nurse liability insurance.
  • Pass drug screening.

Patient Care Technician Program Applicants must also:

  • Pass the “Wonderlic Scholastic Level Entrance Exam” with a score of 13.
  • Submit a Health Exam and provide proof of ability to lift 50 pounds alone or 100 pounds with another person.
  • Provide immunization records demonstrating current vaccinations.
  • May be required to show proof of health insurance and pass a drug screening if clinical site requires.

LNA Program Applicants must also:

  • Submit a Health Exam and provide proof of ability to lift 50 pounds alone or 100 pounds with another person.
  • Provide immunization records demonstrating current vaccinations.
  • Also may be required to show proof of health insurance and pass a drug screening if clinical site requires.
