The Patient Care Technician Program is a six hundred and three hour comprehensive program providing learning experiences which encompass the scope of practice of the Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist and Electrocardiographer. These experiences occur in the academic setting of Salter School of Nursing & Allied Health classrooms and laboratories, and, in a variety of health care settings within the community.
This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to acquire confidence in direct care giving, successful collection, process and transport of laboratory specimens, and the administration of Electrocardiography techniques.
